Oh man, am I so excited to be part of this little baby shower blog hop! After two boys, finally having a little girl to dress in pink and ruffles and strawberries?? Too exciting!!
1. Hello, Laura! by Laura Ingalls Wilder. This little series of board books blew me away, as I loved the Little House books as a kid! This is a simple board book for small children with great pictures showing Laura, Mary, Ma and Pa on the prairie. And Lish is a prairie girl, so what could be better than introducing wee Tova to the series as soon as possible?
2. In My Nest by Sarah Gillingham. This book comes with an attached wee birdie finger puppet so you can put him in his nest. The illustrations are so amazing, it’s one of Ingrid’s favorites!
3. I Am a Bunny by Ole Risom, illustrated by Richard Scarry. This book is the sweetest little board book about a bunny through the seasons. I absolutely love Richard Scarry’s illustrations! And aren’t board books just the best for babies? Ours have been through two kids chewing them and they’re still lookin’ good.
4. The Milkman by Carol Foskett Cordsen. This book has the coolest vintage looking illustrations. It’s all about a milkman and his cranky cat delivering their goods to the neighborhood. The rhymes are rather soothing as you read along, and there is an added little game of finding the lost dog on each page!
(This was hard for me to choose just a few books, Lish!! I know you are the book connoisseur, so I hope you love these books and don’t already have them!)
